Manteca Area Soccer League Launches Manteca Rangers Surf

Manteca, CA — Surf Nation is proud to announce the launch of Manteca Rangers Surf, a new partnership between Manteca Area Soccer League, River Islands Surf, Stanislaus Surf, and the Surf Nation community.

This partnership represents an important step forward for girls soccer and female player development within the Central Valley and reflects a shared commitment to building stronger pathways for players, coaches, and families throughout Manteca and the surrounding communities.

Manteca Rangers Surf will operate in strategic partnership with River Islands Surf and Stanislaus Surf within the Surf Nation ecosystem, a national network recognized for player development, competitive success, and pathways into collegiate soccer, professional academies, and national team environments.

The club will be led locally by Trisha Gonzales and will establish girls programming directly connected to the Stanislaus Surf ECNL structure, including participation within the ECNL Regional League Girls platform under the newly promoted Stanislaus Surf ECNL Girls program.

Through this partnership, players within the Manteca region will gain access to enhanced developmental resources and clearly defined pathways at the local, regional, and national levels.

Manteca Rangers Surf will continue its long-standing commitment to serving the Manteca community while also gaining access to Surf Nation resources, coaching education, national programming, and player identification opportunities.

“We are excited to establish Manteca Rangers Surf and continue building opportunities for players and families within our community,” said Trisha Gonzales, Manteca Rangers Surf Director of Coaching. “This partnership allows us to provide a higher-level developmental environment while maintaining the values and culture that have always been important to Manteca Area Soccer League. Our players now have access to pathways that previously did not exist locally.”

As part of the partnership, Manteca Rangers Surf players will have direct access to Surf Select, Surf Nation’s regional and national identification program for players U9 through U17. Surf Select draws from the broader Surf Nation player pool across North America and provides opportunities to compete in elite domestic and international events.

“The establishment of Manteca Rangers Surf creates an important bridge for players within the Manteca region into the Stanislaus Surf ECNL pathway,” said Jose Alcala, Stanislaus Surf Executive Director. “Our goal is to continue creating environments where players can develop locally while still having access to the highest levels of competition and exposure. This partnership strengthens the soccer landscape throughout the Central Valley and creates long-term opportunities for players, coaches, and families.”

River Islands Surf Director of Coaching Roger Casci added, “We are excited to welcome Manteca Rangers Surf into the Surf community. The continued growth of ECNL Boys and ECNL Girls within our region is an important milestone for player development. Through these platforms and partnerships, we believe we can continue creating opportunities that previously required families to leave the region entirely.”

This partnership further reinforces Surf Nation’s commitment to growing the game throughout Northern California while building sustainable pathways that connect grassroots soccer to elite national platforms.

This is great for soccer in the Central Valley. Creating more local opportunities and real development pathways for girls is something this region has needed for a long time. Excited to see Manteca Rangers Surf, River Islands Surf, and Stanislaus Surf working together to build something meaningful for players and families. Looking forward to seeing the growth of the program and the opportunities it creates for the next generation.
