Manteca Area Soccer League Launches Manteca Rangers Surf

Manteca, CA – Surf Nation is proud to announce the launch of Manteca Rangers Surf, a new partnership between Manteca Area Soccer League, River Islands Surf, Stanislaus Surf, and the Surf Nation community.

This partnership represents a major step forward for girls soccer and female player development in the Central Valley and reflects a shared commitment to building stronger pathways for female players, coaches, and families throughout Manteca and the surrounding communities.

Manteca Rangers Surf will operate in strategic partnership with River Islands Surf and Stanislaus Surf within the Surf Nation ecosystem, a national network recognized for professionalism, player development, competitive success, and creating pathways into national team training centers, professional academies, collegiate soccer, and the professional ranks.

The club will be led locally by Trisha Gonzales and will establish girls competitive programming tied directly into the Stanislaus Surf ECNL structure, including ECNL Regional League Girls opportunities under the newly promoted Stanislaus Surf ECNL Girls platform.

Through this partnership, female players within the Manteca region will now have access to enhanced developmental resources and clearly defined pathways at the local, regional, and national levels.

Manteca Rangers Surf will continue its long-standing commitment to serving the Manteca community while gaining access to Surf Nation resources, education, national programming, and player identification opportunities.

“We are excited to establish Manteca Rangers Surf and continue building opportunities for players and families within our community,” said Trisha Gonzales. “This partnership allows us to provide a higher-level developmental environment while still maintaining the values and culture that have always been important to Manteca Area Soccer League. Our players now have access to real pathways that previously did not exist locally.”

As part of the partnership, Manteca Rangers Surf players will have direct access to Surf Select, Surf Nation’s regional and national identification program for players U9 through U17. Surf Select draws from the broader Surf Nation player pool across North America and provides opportunities to compete in elite domestic and international events.

For Stanislaus Surf, the partnership also represents an important moment in the continued growth of girls soccer throughout the region following the club’s recent promotion into the ECNL Girls platform.

“The establishment of Manteca Rangers Surf creates an important bridge for players within the Manteca region into the Stanislaus Surf ECNL pathway,” said Jose Alcala. “Our goal is to continue creating environments where players can develop locally while still having access to the highest levels of competition and exposure. This partnership strengthens the overall soccer landscape within the Central Valley and creates long-term opportunities for players, coaches, and families.

”Roger Casci added, “We are delighted to welcome Manteca Rangers Surf into the Surf community. The continued growth of ECNL Boys and ECNL Girls within our region is an important milestone for player development. Through these platforms and partnerships, we believe we can help transform the developmental pathway for players throughout the Central Valley and provide opportunities that once required families to leave the region entirely.”

The partnership further reinforces Surf Nation’s commitment to growing the game throughout Northern California while creating sustainable pathways that connect grassroots soccer to elite national platforms.
